International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship — One-Semester Study Program
Non-Chinese citizens aged 16 to 35 on 1 September 2025 (up to 45 for in-service Chinese language teachers), recommended by a Recommending Institution such as a Confucius Institute, an HSK test centre or a Chinese embassy.

Language score
HSK score required. International Chinese language education, Chinese language and literature, Chinese history or Chinese philosophy: at least 180 on HSK Level 3, plus an HSKK score. Traditional Chinese medicine or Taiji culture: an HSK score.
What it covers
Tuition, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and a monthly living allowance of RMB 2,500.

Online, on the scholarship section of the CLEC website; the CLEC programme page gives pmplatform.chinese.cn as the application platform. A reference letter from the head of the Recommending Institution is required.
Timing
2025 guidelines: programme starts September 2025 (applications due 15 May) or March 2026 (applications due 31 October). Funded for up to five months.
