China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (2026)
Full-time students or full-time academic staff of a CSC foreign partner university who already hold an admission from a host Chinese university. General scholars must be under 45 and senior scholars under 50.

Non-Chinese citizens under 45 with a bachelor's degree or higher and at least three years of work experience, who are a government official at division-chief level or above, a senior manager of an institution or enterprise, an administrator of a university or research institution, or have worked or interned in an international organisation.
Citizens of a developing country under 45 with at least three years of work experience, who are public officials at division level or above, senior managers of organisations or enterprises, or academic staff of universities and research institutions.

The official guide lists four things the Chinese Government Scholarship covers, with a monthly stipend of CNY 2,500, 3,000 or 3,500 depending on your study level.
Age limits run from under 25 for bachelor's applicants to under 50 for senior scholars. Chinese-taught programmes need HSK 3 or 4, and bachelor's applicants take the CSCA.
