Language score
Depends on the teaching language. Chinese-taught master's and doctoral programmes: HSK Level 4. Chinese-taught general scholar programmes (other than Chinese language majors) and senior scholar programmes: HSK Level 3. Programmes taught in another language: the university's own requirement. Bachelor's applicants must also take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA).
What it covers
Tuition fees; free university dormitory or an accommodation subsidy; a monthly stipend of CNY 2,500 for undergraduates, CNY 3,000 for master's students and general scholars, and CNY 3,500 for doctoral students and senior scholars; comprehensive medical insurance.
